Spring break 2023 clay classes

This spring break we're offering two clay classes:

1. Parents and Kids Intro to Clay. Choose one of the following options: Monday, March 13 (either 10am-Noon OR 1-3pm), OR Friday, March 17 (either 10am-Noon OR 1-3pm). $40 per pair (1 adult and 1 child). Parents are welcome to bring their kids to the ceramic studio at the Tidal Art Centre to explore the fun tactile art of hand building with clay! Multiple projects will be displayed for parents to choose from, all levels and ages welcome. Registration is required.

2. Teen Pottery Class. Tue. to Thurs., March 14, 15 and 16; 10am-2pm, $225. Three days of muddy fun! Registration is required.

Teapot Workshop with Faro Sullivan

The Tidal Art Centre invites you to come and create teapots with visiting artist Faro Sullivan!

Explore form and function in this two-day immersive workshop:

• April 8 and 9, 2023

• 10am to 4pm both days

• $250 includes one bag of clay and bisque firing. Glaze firing can be arranged.

Willow basket weaving workshop

• Demo on Monday, Oct. 17; 5-8pm | FREE

• Workshop on Saturday, Oct. 22; 10am-5pm | $120, materials included

Learn how to weave a small willow basket! I will provide a pre-woven 6-7" round base to start with. I will show you how to weave your own at home so bring what you need to take notes. You will then learn and weave the rest of your willow basket using two different techniques.
